It looks like LA LA LAND Records will be re-issuing Bill Conti's magnificent MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE this summer, late June early July. This will have been the third time this score is given an album:

1. Varese Sarabande, 1987 (40 mins)

2. Edel/Silva, 1992 (69 mins)

3. LA LA LAND, 2 CDs, 90 mins?

WOO HOO!

I love this score, as I have posted several times here. Regrettably, I dished out over 70 bucks on e-bay last xmas for a copy of the highly coveted Edel release. But the new CD from LA LA Land will likely have better sound, artwork and liners. Can't wait!

Pros and cons on this one.

Great action score by Conti with a hint of Brian May contained within.
And for all the new pics and expectedly detailed liner notes (and maybe even an autograph) this will be a most welcome 2CD set to get.
