INTRADA Announces John Williams' MONSIGNOR

I received my copy yesterday and have spun it around and around repeatedly. Gorgeous, gorgeous score, and brilliant release.

I hate to do this, but I have two nitpicking questions:

What is the correct title of track 9? It is listed as "Santoni's Confession" on the cd case (and on the Intrada website) and "Santoni's Compassion" in the notes.

Second, my ears may be playing tricks on me, but I seem to be hearing a very brief dropout in the right channel on track 3, "Forgotten Vows," at the 1:16 mark. Is anyone else hearing this? I can certainly live with it, but was just curious if it is only a problem on my disc.

Congrats to everyone at Intrada who worked on this release, and thank you, thank you, thank you!!

On the original LP it was Santoni's Compassion...

Monsignore is a little known Williams gem. The movie was not a success and is mostly forgotten these days, though back then it was a fairly high profile affair, which explains Williams involvement. It was based on a bestselling novel and Reeve and Bujold were at the top of their popularity. Most everybody who has ever heard the "Gloria" (in the movie or on LP) considers it among the finest cues of Williams' output. I used to play the original LP a lot, glad to get this title on CD now.
