Somewhat related: I recently discovered a whole slew of my Warner HD-DVD movies had gone bad. Six of the discs won't even read while another 12 or so get stuck during various parts of the programme. I've tried them in three different players (XBox 360 HD-DVD drive/Toshiba EP-30/LG PC drive). The discs that won't read are visibly deteriorated on the data surface. Thanks Warner.

I have ripped all my CDs to Flac, then I made a second hard drive copy to those. Living in Florida only a cat 5 hurricane will take them out of my cold, dead hands.
