Even though I can't afford this release(And I really wish I could get it, but them's the breaks), I know it will sell out in no time!:)
You, Roger, and all the gang there at Intrada have really busted your balls getting these amazing releases out to us, and nothing would make me happier than to see these releases go flying out the door!

Okay, being a Horner fan, I know how he has the tendency to repeat himself in
his film scores. I received this today and just got through the Horner cues,
(sorry can't quite get into the other cues, maybe in time) and I was shocked
that I heard my first piece that he wrote that sounds very similar to another
one of my favorite composers. See if anyone else can tell me if I am hearing
what I am hearing in The Alley (cue #8) - check out at 3:28-3:57 in the
low brass/percussion. What Main Title does this sound similar to?

Or is it just me?

Nope. It's not just you. I clearly hear Goldsmith's Capricorn One.

James Horner was really into Goldsmith's music at that time : Battle Beyond the Stars, Star Trek II & III, Aliens, Deadly Blessing,... Then he has evolved into his own style but it's great to have the testimony of his love for Jerry's music in those early scores ! ^^

Just got this in early this week, and thanks to ya boys, good job!
Sound is fantastic, all those prickly details in Horner's quasi-avant garde
ensemble stick out. I wasn't sure how the songs would work alongside
the score, but oddly enough, they do, and I found I really dig them after
all! Who knew!?!??

I just ordered mine on Monday, and it already came in today, wow!

I'm listening to it as I type, and I can hear some similarities between this, Gorky Park and Commando. The sound quality is absolutely superb! A big thank you, and shout out to Intrada, Doug and even Horner himself for giving us this great action score.
