You may need to look into some chill pills. Seriously, you are upset over the fact that they pressed more. In my best Jerry Seinfeld impression, "really?!"

I can see both sides of the argument.

A slightly more honest approach, would have been for them to announce - after the initial 3000 copies run had expired - that due to popular demand, they were going to press some further excess copies (with an amended cover, that does not state the 3000 copies amount still).

This ISN'T a bash at FSM - my copies of: LOGAN'S RUN, WHERE EAGLES DARE and TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE, all come from the over-pressing run!!.
Or do what we did with Promises, Promises - relicense the title and do another thousand. Actually, what we did was ONLY do the second CD of that set, the remix, and we did that so that the people who'd purchased the two CD set would still have a rarity and something that WAS limited to 1000 copies.
Another perfectly reasonable approach. No arguments there.

By the way, Bruce?, thanks in advance for a future release of yours: CASINO ROYALE (1967).

Anybody who even goes near Bond Music, achieves instant Sainthood in my book!!. 8)

For cryin' out loud, let it go already. If you have a problem with it, stop buying from them. Stop trying to save us from the labels because we're not looking for saving.

Another interesting development with Limited Editions being not so limited. A regular release is
now being produced after the 1000 Collector's Editions sold out? I can wait for the individual
releases at the end of next year!

Well 3 titles from the Elfman set have or are due to be released.

I fully expect a few of the older titles to receive individual releases down the line from one of the labels. That was one of the reasons I passed on buying this box set.

The Elfman/Burton 25th CD set Limited Edition, advertised as limited to 1000 and
being sold at 2 different locations, with no note from WB, only to find out that the
limited 1000 copies are only available at the WB website? I would feel screwed.
So, screwed I would cancel my order at Amazon.com and wait for them to be
released individually! I wonder how many orders are being canceled because
someone thought they were getting one of the 1000 at Amazon.com? I knew
something was up a few days ago when a video game magazine my son gets
shows the Elfman set and there was nothing stating limited anywhere near it!

As for editions, Disney does not limit their editions with numbers. Having children I
know how Disney works! We have Disney DVDs that were first released as just a normal
DVD, then the Collector's Editions comes out, then the 2-Disc Collector's Editions and
now they have the Platinum Editions coming out!!!!! The main thing is they do not say
1000 or 2000 or more copies!!! They just say Collector's Edition or Platinum Edition!
Then back into the Disney vault for the Uranium Edition a few years down the road!

You can put edition all over anything, just do not include "LIMITED" with a number,
because everyone knows that number doesn't really mean anything anymore!

...but it is all about the music or movie, right?

Not to sound rude, or even oppressive, Startracks, but doesn't everything in life--including life itself--stand as "limited." The term does seem to suit any noun for which it stands to represent. Technically speaking, everything has a number; Right?

My lifetime is limited, and I don't expect there to be a repressing once all's said and done...so they better hurry up with those Hobbits movies!

...sorry, I'm in a particularly morose mood today...
