I'm going to mention a few not so obvious ones:

From The X-Files movie (I won't even start on the series): we got a very generous score CD, luckily, but a few things were left off, notably: the alternate (more orchestral) ending to the Pod suite, and especially the final cue (with the helicopter in the desert). Considering the fact that we got a long score CD, these will probably never be released...

From Elfman's Mission: Impossible, the complete Sleeping Beauty and Red Handed.


More obviously: a lot of Williams albums, naturally. Azkaban, Temple of Doom, etc.

There was some additional music written by James Horner for THE JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN that got chopped from the film. In the scene where wayfaring Natty is descending into one of the towns on her travels, at the point when she encounters a riff-raff gang of troubled youths, there is a folksy Copeland like piano piece, slightly accompanied with strings, that announces her ramble into town. The piece plays only in part and then discontinues halfway through the scene. It's a short but great piece of Americana, not all that original, but is fun, nonetheless. Would be nice to see this score, and cue, played out on disc one day.

Roger lists the missing chase music from UNDER FIRE and I agree that this is one of the really great omissions. I once asked Jerry about why this cue wasn't on the album since it was so integral to the picture and he literally just shrugged and said, "well, you can't have everything, Doug". What a wacky response.

You folks have also reminded me just how poorly produced the ABYSS album really is. Yucky sound, inadequate selections, whatnot.

I sure wish we could make up a box set of all the great AWOL cues from everything but there wouldn't be a carton big enough to hold all of the CDs it would take!
