I never got "Preadator" either. I have a spare, sealed "Capricorn One" (Intrada), that I hold just to get that one day.

Jaws The Revenge was one that comes to mind. I believe the poster had "Soundtrack Available On MCA Records" on it.


Then there was the Fox Records release of Predator & Die Hard with Elliot Goldenthal's Alien 3 Fox Fanfare on 1 disc that never materialized.

Of course Varese saw to it several years later that each score got it's own full release.

According to the end credits, Varese were also going to release MOTHER'S BOYS (George S Clinton). Other Vareses that never showed up: WHISPERS IN THE DARK (Thomas Newman), DUTCH (Alan Silvestri) and JIMMY NEUTRON BOY GENIUS (John Debney) were all allocated catalogue numbers but were also cancelled. I think DINOTOPIA (Trevor Jones) was as well.
