Ennio Morricone's achingly beautiful score for Lolita has finally been remastered and expanded by Music Box in a limited edition of just 1000.

The original soundtrack release had Morricone's score interrupted by various period source cues, which I always programmed out when listening to the score. (The source cues themselves were well chosen, but I disliked them interrupting the flow of the score.)

Had it for a week and its very good - if you like the Milan this is worth
another go. Its one of those A B C A B C D A B C type Ennio albums but the
themes are good and varied enough so those 4-5 themes don't tire or
bore. It's 77mins and I didn't get antsy through that epic running time,
which speaks volumes. Nice Hubai notes too, where is that guy on these
boards these days!??!?

i've got a copy on order, i'm always on the lookout for low-key Morricone, The Thing is in my top 5 of all time, i'm sure he has more music in the style that i like, but there's so much of it out there it can be daunting to look through. can anyone recommend some moodier titles from his foreign work?
