First Spielberg/Williams coming to our beloved labels: 1941!

For some reason I've always pictured a proper Jaws set coming from Intrada, similar to the way Patton and First Blood, etc were handled: The complete original film tracks (in chronological order this time) on disc 1, and the original LP re-recording on Disc 2, both completely remastered. I hope that's a possibility now.

Not sure how the Spielberg/Williams politics work.

it seems this is the only composer that counts these days...what about the lesser knowns? Are they totally forgotten?
Ohh I forgot, they do not sell (Intradas Prison etc) That´s sad as these releases are the most fun to see getting released (Karlins Ravagers comes to mind)

And what about Golden Child...the first CD features Barrys "REJECTED" score...
it was rejected for a purpose..it did not fit the movie...i´m looking forward to Colombiers score more and sees Barrys score as a bonus...
Yes i´m a bit cranky here but it seems alot of labels only compete to release the largest titles and don´t bother if it´s quality or not...
it sells because of the composers name, not because it might be a great score...

Originally not my favorite Williams when it first came out, I have really grown to love 1941 over the years. At the time, it was just too jokey to take seriously, when Williams was doing really awesome darker stuff like THE FURY and DRACULA. But it's really perfect for the film, and there is some stupendous stuff going on in that score. Of course, I think you have to love the masterful Benny Goodman pastiche "Swing, Swing, Swing" as well. This was another LP presentation that differed quite a bit from the way the music played in the film, with lots left out, or re-arranged. And just a few extra unreleased bars of John Williams from this period are pure gold. No doubt, this is a really big deal for us silver age old timers.
