I'm gonna flagrantly fly in the face of the "waaaaah, it's just noise" crowd who's been dissing "Green Zone" at every opportunity. I'm a huge fan of Powell's percussive action vibe, as exemplified in the three "Bourne" scores, and I'm seriously digging this more primitive, less polite version (with a neat use of acoustic guitar (?) textures here and there) that he came up with for "Green Zone". I'm sorry I missed the flick now.
Wholehearted agreement with all the fluffy things everyone's saying about his "Dragon" score, by the way. Easily one of the most enjoyable CDs I've picked up in a while. I haven't heard one moan about the pipes either - surely a sign Powell did more than one thing right with this.
John Powell's rather a talented fellow, isn't he?
