I'm glad everybody who wanted this, can finally now have it. I've never hated this score, though I've never gone crazy about it. In fact, I've never been able to listen to it all the way threw, but it's been about ten years, so maybe a new shot is required. All I know is, at 10,000 copies, it'll hopefulyl be there when I finally get employed, being that it's behind about two dozen other CD's I want. I mainly have played about these cues, over & over again (sorry if I get some names wrong): "Main Title" "Ilia's Theme" (Overture version) "Klingons" "Spock's Arrival" (alternate -- better version anyway) I ALSO had to make this post, because -- freaky coincidence -- this post by me is number: 1701 |

I can only hope the cell phones were turned off during the transfers. I'm not 100% sure the cellphone interference (the chattering buzz heard repeatedly on this video) would have any effect on the transfers, but I certainly wouldn't risk the possibility if it were up to me. Somehow I doubt GSM cellphone interference was ever considered in the design of the 3M 56 IsoLoop. |

"The tapes were resolved at 60Hz to maintain the original orchestral pitch and sync." What exactly does this mean? Do the 16 track 2-inch masters incorporate some sort of pilottone-sync? |

I said I wouldn't buy it, but I did anyway. I listened to the 20th anniversary CD and listened to it for only the second time since I got it in 2004. I was amazed that every track was very musical. There was nothing that was a throwaway. Right after I purchased mine, LLL's server crashed. Hope everyone gets theirs. |

I'll tell you one of the most exciting things to me about this release. The establishing shot right after the main credits is the cloud. This is accompanied by a loud hit (or stroke or pluck...whatever it is you do) on the Beam. It communicates a whole lot in just that few seconds. On the original album, that Beam is mixed so low it is barely audible. That has been mixed up like it should be on this new release. It's a chill down my spine moment! For that, I am very grateful!
