During the winter months I always make a point to watch Disney's 6-hour miniseries version of "Great Expectations" from 1989. It is probably the best adaptation of the book and has a wonderful cast featuring Anthony Hopkins, Jean Simmons and John Rhys-Davies.
Does anyone know if a score album was ever released? It has a soaring warm score and I've looked for years without success. The only reason I haven't given up hope is that I did run across a rare promo album for the subsequent effort "The Old Curiosity Shop" on CD. I believe it was less than 500 produced and more for promotion/networking rather than commercial sale. Nevertheless, I thought perhaps another collector here could confirm or deny the existence of a "Great Expectations" score.
If it's NOT available (as I suspect), please consider this a formal suggestion for this magnificent Ken Thorne score.
