I watched this swell movie about the Korean War last night and couldn't get over how great Leonard Rosenman's score for it was. The main title itself is one of the best themes ever written for film in my opinion. It really set the mood of the film and I hope for a release of this fine score someday, perhaps released with Franz Waxman's stirring score to the World War II submarine drama "Run Silent Run Deep.

Thank you for bringing Leonard Rosenman to the fore once again. I understand that producer Gregory Peck heavily edited the movie before it was released. If I recall correctly there wasn't a huge amount of music used in the more. Perhaps we are missing out on the composer's original intentions?
