And especially as Lalo Schifrin on his wife's Aleph label soon will release the LALO SCHIFRIN MY LIFE IN MUSIC 4CD-Set, which includes unreleased tracks from his scores for Universal's COOGAN'S BLUFF, CHARLEY VARRICK, JOE KIDD and AIRPORT - THE CONCORDE, I am pretty sure now, that CD releases of his great scores done for Universal are possible in complete form ! I just don't know if Aleph already has secured the rights through their inclusion on the 4CD-Set or if it is possible for Intrada to release the above scores on CD in complete form as they have contact with Universal. The most important fact is that it will happen one day. Maybe Douglass Fake can comment on the subject for possible CD release of these great Schifrin Universal scores i the future ? |
