Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Lately I've really been on a noir watching/listening binge. Does anyone know the two different things about the soundtrack without having to look it up. It is a film from 1946 with Clifton Webb, Lucille Ball, Mark Stevens, and William Bendix set in New York City. As a soundtrack collector/reviewer I was surprised in as much as I'd never seen the film before. But looking it up isn't fair.

I am truly amazed that no one knew the answer. The main and end title for the picture was Street Scene from Alfred Newman and he was given no credit. The other thing about the picture was Eddie Heywood and his Orchestra supplied the non original music. They played sweet band standards for the score. It worked everywhere except for one scene where it seemed out of place.

I was going to mention "Street Scene", but you impatiently answered your own question.
Good little movie, though- I like the scene where Webb shoves Bendix out of the skyscraper window to a screaming 40 story death.

I think this is the dvd where the commentators credit Alex North for having written "Street Scene".
