Major Problem with Slipstream

Wow, the overreaction by some folks at FSM (destroying their copies, end of Robin's label, legitmacy of RS, etc, etc) is so over the top absurd (yet typical) I can't help but laugh. So much for the notion of innocent until proven guilty. :roll:

There are two sides to this story and I will reserve judgement until the air is cleared once and for all.

But regardless of the oucome, I will, without question, be keeping and treasuring my copy of forever.

Even if Perseverance didn't have all the agreements (being aware of that prior to release or not), this album represents a hard work and great efforts. All I can say is : thank you for this album (and the hard work behind) and I'm happy I could discover one of the best work from Elmer Bernstein. I understand all the bitterness from labels negociators like Lukas Kendall and co who put many efforts into negociations with the studios and money into buying the rights from all the owners of a particular score, but without this album (100 % legal or not) I simply wouldn't know about Slipstream's music.

I personally feel that Hank Kimball, I mean Lucas Kendall tends to go a little overboard when he gets his panties in a bind over something or another. I've more or less lost interest in his label after being told, "You're not the sort of person we want in our community.", (shortly after being banned from the FSM forum). So I'll more than likely never spend my money in that community again. The last two I purchased were Marathon Man and White Dog. I just hope FSM doesn't release something I've been hoping for since Hector was a pup.

So Perseverance can now sell their remaining copies of Slipstream on Ebay for a couple hundred euros each?

HOW FUCKING NUTS IS THAT? :lol:

Many are not innocent in the label world. From one label guy (who I won't name or say the label name of) who traded in bootlegs, to of course the several pages long confession and replies to Lukas admitting to pressing more than was stated, to that other example listed above, to FSM (again) not wanting anything to do with bootlegs yet carrying their CDs eventually through SAE who used to sell bootlegs.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, aside from a short of related one where one label released the original tracks to a score, when they weren't supposed to, and passed it off as a re-recording.
