Intrada Soundtrack Forum

I never much liked this score when I first heard it in 86. But it quickly grew on me. It is quirky but quite traditional. I love the recording too. I love the separation of the orchestra and the electronics. A great Mike Ross Trevor recording. Well done Intrada in making this available again.

Boy that was fast and alittle sad that it only lasted approx 16hrs...Hope as many that wanted this got it this time as it is a FUN score much like Gremlins and The Burbs...
I knew it was right to sit up in the middle of the night waiting for Roger to put up this baby (and yes I LUV Ms.Shue on the cover and thinks that was a nice decision by Intrada too)
and for the record, I didn´t own the Varese CD, so I am a happy camper
Well I will continue juggling my b...(never mind), waiting for this to pop my mailbox

Congrats on the sell out Doug and Roger - and again, thank you for releasing this for the Goldsmith fans that missed out on the original release. You definitely made this Goldsmith fan very happy! Cannot wait to see what the rest of Intrada's 2011 releases hold in store for us!

I'm really happy to see Intrada taking on projects like these. They're quickly filling that atrocious gap of limited-edition-high-price-madness that has dominated this market for the last few years. It's refreshing to see a label try to cut people like me a break who really wants this stuff, but cannot afford the hysterical prices on the secondary market. As I see it, Intrada really does care about the legacy of these composers and the fine music that they poured their hearts into--much of what really should stay in print. So, please bring forth Ghostbusters, Chinatown; everything. There is a fan-base here who really doesn't care about the collectibility of these things. We really just love beautifully composed music. Long live Intrada; we're on your side.

I happily managed to grab a copy, because I love this "Gremlins-like" score, the movie and Shue (no less than the girlfriend of Karate Kid, Marty McFly and Josh Brolin !), but I never had the chance to get the Varèse CD.
So here enters Intrada and saves the day !

I refreshed Intrada to find... it's sold out. What a bummer.

Ah well, so the game goes.

I have never heard the score or seen the movie...but I knew last night when I placed my order that if I wanted it, I need to get it right away because it wasn't going to be around long. So thanks go out to Intrada for re-releasing this...I will finally get to hear it and hopefully enjoy it!

so we have 2000 people happier than yesterday. Sorry for the rest, you'll have to wait for next label's re-re-release (FSM, Kritzerland, LLL... who knows).

It does seem a shame that people would have missed out on this release. Any chance Intrada would consider an extra say 1500 run to help the fans who missed out? Surely it would not hurt and would perhaps stop the release gaining ridiculous prices on Ebay.
