Sometimes labels releases so called double features so what if you put a rejected/unused score as the first score on that double feature and the replacement score after as the second score.
or
if the scores are too long to be featured on one single CD what if it was a double CD with the rejected/unused score on the first CD and the replacement score on the second CD?

That would be the most perfect presentation or at least in theory it certainly could be, don`t you think so?

That method of presentation would have been great but it didn't happen. Now who knows when Delerue's score will be released since he is not exactly one of the most sought after composers with unreleased music.

Would this mean then that at some later point (maybe after Horner's is sold out), if Intrada is interested, Delerue's could come out?

Don't be too mystified. This CD was designed to give Horner his due. It wasn't about Delerue. Neither Horner nor Disney wanted to get into the politics of the rejected score and we were happy to comply. If the Delerue score becomes available at some point it will be a project unto itself.

As I wrote, I surmised as much. The exclusion of this extra background info makes perfect sense to me, given the project's goals. It wasn't intended to be a criticism, just an observation. I think the disc is an exemplary production, as always, and thank you for it.
