I think there's a certain 'distortion' effect that happens with low quantities. If this CD hadn't been limited, I wouldn't mind betting sales would still be under 1000. But as soon as it's limited - especially that limited - I suspect peoples' buying behaviours change: soundtrack stores buy more than they normally would; people who are 'borderline' about buying the score are more likely to; maybe passionate collectors buy two when they would otherwise have bought one; and, of course, it attracts the ebay prospector.

Just a theory of course.

Some scores are a better listening experience when you have seen the movie and understand the scenes the cues are composed for.

Chattaway's MIA has alot more tension and feeling, May's score to MIA 2 is all over the place
"Just an orchestral score like any other".

The MIA 2 is a bigger score no doubt about it, but that does'nt mean better. :wink:

I prefer Chattaway's.

No question why the company felt that MIA was better than the prequel MIA 2: the Beginning,
it's got more punch both movie and score wise.

Just my two cents.
