I've seen James Horner's score for Krull (the Super Tracks 2-CD release of the full score) go for $80.- and more at eBay, yet it seems to be also available right now at Buysoundtracks (for about $50.-). Anyway, at it says, this edition was "limited to 2000 copies". I've seen this promoted at eBay, too, as a "limited to 2000 copies" edition. Is this true or simply a confusion because some of the earlier releases of Krull were limited? On my copy it doesn't seem to say that it's a "limited edition". I suppose it is out of print now (so the number of copies in existence is indeed "limited" as there is no reprint in sight) and somewhat hard to find, but if Buysoundtracks has it for $50.- these days there should be more than just 2000 copies floating around, correct? |

I think no Supertracks edition is supposed to be limited to a precise quantity. Krull is just a rare CD because it wasn't released as a mainstream soundtrack... I even suspect certain so called limited editions to be actually released in more important quantities, like some earlier Varèse Club CDs which seem to be quick sellers and that aren't even out of print after more than 5 years (particularily Williams & Horner titles)... |

It's true, there was a time when Krull was regularly offered at eBay for "Buy it Now" prices of $40.- when the remaining stock of the defunct "Super Collectors" was sold. Today, it fetches often around $80.- or more at eBay, depending on how well the auction went. I've seen it go for around $100.- but have heard that it's been sold for as much as $250.-. In any case, as long as it's available for $50.- at Buysoundtrax.com there is no need to pay more than that. Presumably you'd have to be lucky to find it for less than that these days, though. |

I bought the two-cd "Krull" from this website... I think it was less than a year ago... for $40, but ever since, I haven't really seen it around for a reasonably price outside of Ebay. Back at ya later |
