At this moment only one score should be played, It's My Party, this score means so much to me, so breathtaking and intimate. I'm just so sad, so sad full of tears. One of my idols has left me. |

As he was one of my top ten favorites, I can't think of much to say at the moment because I'm still a little shocked. But my heart goes out to his family in this sad time. My God Bless and Keep the Poledouris family. Tai |

I was fortunate enough to interview Basil Poledouris on three different occassions. He was brilliantly articulate about his craft (and the arts in general), as well as witty, playfully sarcastic, hospitable and generous. Near the conclusion of our first interview he actually gave me a Varese Cherry 2000 CD! And on a later occassion he presented me with an Honor and Glory CD! It can be disappointing when you finally meet people you've admired from afar, as often they're not as nice or receptive as you'd hoped, but Basil Poledouris was a happy exception to this. A truly a great person! |

The first time I discovered Basil Polidouris was on the soundtrack lp of Summer Lovers, way back in 1982 – my early soundtrack years. You’re thinking: “That’s a song soundtrack.†|
