Robert DeNiro rejected James Horner's score due to artistic differences. This is this the second time James is rejected this year, after being rejected by Brian DePalma on The Black Dahlia. Let's hope Mel Gibson will have some wiser judgement on Apocalypto, no doubt about this though. Robert DeNiro and especially Brian DePalma are well know for their lack of judgment in the field of music, not Mel Gibson (The Man Without a Face, Braveheart, Passion of the Christ). Thanks to BicMacGyver for the info. |

Even Giorgio Moroder's score for Scarface was suprisingly effective and among his finest film work. |

Glad somone agrees with me on the "Scarface" score... I typically dislike 80's synth scores, but I though Morodor's effort was perfectly appropriate, a musical reflection of the glitzy but ultimately shallow and empty life of Tony Montana. Back at ya later |
