Well it can't hurt it. Perhaps it will give those who couldn't afford a bigger name composer a chance to hire him/her. What's really going to bring back film music from the dead is getting people in places, directors, producers, who have an understanding that music doesn't need to be wallpaper and can have a strong voice in their films. It will require a change in how films are made and marketed. |
