Hollywood Composers Gather for the 2nd Annual Fans of Film Music

An all-new, who's-who of fan favorite movie composers will gather for a seminar, and autograph session at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, CA on August 28th. This follow-up to last year's popular event gives movie score enthusiasts the chance to meet and hear about the craft from a roster of composers representing both classic and contemporary Hollywood soundtracks. There will be a few surprises and some cool music giveaways at the gathering.

Brad Fiedel (The Serpent and the Rainbow, Straight Talk, The Terminator, True Lies)
Charles Fox (Barbarella, Foul Play, 9 to 5, The Love Boat , Happy Days theme songs)
Lee Holdridge (The Beastmaster, Beauty and the Beast, The Dreamer of Oz, Mr. Mom, Splash)
David Newman (Galaxy Quest, Hoffa, The Nutty Professor, Scooby-Doo, Serenity, War of the Roses)
Nicholas Pike (Captain Ron, Critters 2, Fear.Com, Parasomnia, Sleepwalkers, The Shining)
Ken Thorne (Help, Lassiter, Return to Lonesome Dove, Superman 2 and 3)
Brian Tyler (Battle Los Angeles, Eagle Eye, Fast Five, The Final Destination, Rambo 2008)
Christopher Young (Ghost Rider, Hellraiser, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Priest, The Shipping News)

The event begins at 2 PM. Join us for a 90-minute question and answer session, moderated by Daniel Schweiger, the host of Filmmusicmag.com and Cinemagic's "On The Score" composer interview show. Seating is limited to 45 people.

The composer autograph session is from 4-5 PM and is open to the general public. Autographed CD's can also be ordered for those unable to attend at Dark Delicacies at 818-556-6600, or by going to their website at http://www.darkdel.com.

Friday August 26th, anyone and everyone is invited to come to a great place called HOME. 2500 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90039. Many are meeting there at 7:30‘ish. I have reserved a very cool area off to the side. This place has great food, great drinks and is just fun. http://www.homesilverlake.com. This will be great time to meet some new film score friends and say hello to some old ones.

Saturday August 27th, many are going to see that fellow you may have heard about, John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl. The concert is at 8:30PM.

Yikes, no responses or anything, this event must not be very popular with our Intrada followers.

Just to let you all know, Dark Delicacies has a LOT of CD's up for sale, so in case you can't come to the event etc. you can at least get some great autographs.
