I can understand why fans would want an lp to be intact ; without any notches, holes or "promotional use only" stamps. After all. a record jacket is a work of art>

But why is a small hole punch in the bar code of a cd such a big deal?

The artistic integrity of cd's has already been destroyed by UPC and FBI
logos plastered on the back. If a cd is in mint condition and the front insert is immaculate that should be enough.

If I want music that is hard to find I am not going to reject it because of a little hole in a bar code.

But hey that's just me. :x

Depends. I've gotten some good money for my old Wind and the Lion, Platoon/Salvador, and I just yesterday sold the Japanese Day of the Dolphin. I imagine a lot of people on Amazon don't know about the new ones, though.
