I absolutely adore my copy of StarCrash. Smith can take a long walk off a very short pier. If any out there are Barry fans, get this title. Roger is correct, you will not be disappointed. |

This undue focus on imperfections in older recordings reminds me of the comments appearing online whenever a pre-1990 film appears in hi def: you suddenly get reviewers complaining about "noise" in the image... and then you look for yourself and see that it's film grain, i.e. the way the film is supposed to look. We're seeing studios ruin good transfers by smoothing away the grain and softening the image in an attempt to keep the perfectionists happy. |
