I suggest CAPTAIN BLOOD by Korngold. Great score, no proper extended/good quality recording available. Also LOST HORIZON by Tiomkin, for the same reason. I do not, however, back up the choice of "Golden Voyage of Sinbad", as I find it to be a very poor entry in Rozsa's career. It's so unimaginative and uninspired. "The Man who Knew too much" would be nice, except... there's only 35 mn of music in the whole film (not counting Doris Days's wailing), and that includes the 15 mn or so of the (wonderful) Arthur Benjamin Cantata. If you count only the BH that hasn't already been released, there's really just about 8-9 mn of music, not much of it very remarkable.So... no. |

It was super hard not to vote for Jungle Book, but I'd go ape for Face of a Fugitive/Black Patch. |

Hi and welcome to the Intrada forum, Wagner Almighty! Of course I’m happy you voted for the Goldsmith, but thought I’d just point out you’re allowed three picks in this poll, so you can vote for Jungle Book (and one more) too if you want! Yavar |

Thanks Yavar! The rest of my picks were Maestro Miklos. |

So... I am curious when we'll see if the other score(s?) recorded along with Tiomkin will be something from the list. ![]() |

I'd want (and would support) at least 4 of the given options. Possibly more. ![]() |

I hope that scores from the 60's & 70's are also considered for re-recording. |

So hopefully Goldsmith early westerns seems likely to be the next project? Unless Intrada folks just decide to do anything else, which may not even be on this list... Either way I am very curious what might be next and can't wait to hear the Tiomkin album when it is ready. That first track sounds fantastic!!! |
