Exciting upcoming release on 11/15

After that rather out-of-the-blue thread started by either roger or Doug (I forget who) about "Conan" and the masters, a month or two back, I hold hopes ... but if this is YSH, their butts are mine.

Hype is so much fun to read. Roger and I toss out our pre-release tease and the hype just snowballs from there. It's pretty wild! Just to keep things real, I don't think I meant to imply this score is better than THE WIND AND THE LION, but that it shared similarities. It's certainly more complex music. Guess away.

I do think this release is probably more impressive, however, from the viewpoint of producing stuff like this. It took a lot more time, expense and studio cooperation to make this one happen. That counts for something! Will everyone be thrilled? Of course not. But I'm thrilled. And from your posts, it looks like some of you will be, too!

This game is fun indeed, Doug! At least for me. Whatever title will be, I'm sure it will be as top-notch and lovingly produced as your previous ones.

However, just for the fun of continuing playing this game... giving your new clue, you say it's more complex music than THE WIND AND THE LION?

Well, for me this breaks now the speculation down to two titles: SPARTACUS or ALIEN. We'll see in a few hours...

Well another guess popped into my head, Lawrence of Arabia, but I don't remember how much music was in the film.

Then Doug said it was more complex than the Wind & The Lion.

Hmmmm....

Could it be...nah....

I remember someone at FSM (maybe it was manderley) said that the studio that held a bunch of masters -- among them Lawrence of Arabia" -- wanted to make more storage room, so they were just going to throw away a ton of masters. They sent notes out to composers to come and get them, but Jarre didn't get his note until after the scores had been taken to a wasteland and destroyed.

Ok, no need to throw other guesses around - Doug implied that, according to some posts, people will be satisfied.
In other words, the release in question has already been mentioned.
Let's rule some out, and keep others as possibilities.

The only thing I hope at this moment is that the release isn't limited - the chaos would be incredible.

Just one thing guys. When you post that it's ALIEN, please move that hideous EXTRA cd cover (with sneering "patchy") so that it's not in the same eyespace as our crown jewel. That's one of the ugliest album covers I've ever seen. :wink:

Boys From Brazil (I don't believe it's that long)
The Lost Boys (only if you include songs)
1941 (masters already exist)
Masada (masters aren't missing)
First Knight (now way this would count with TWATL)
Innerspace (I believe that's only one CD worth)
BABY: SECRET OF THE LOST LEGEND (not that much score and it's disney, sadly)
STARSHIP TROOPERS (after the isolated DVD score, nah)
Explorers (score not that long)

COULD BE:
Flatliners (only because I don't know how long the score is)
Willow (definately two CDs)
Alien (with some of the other "miracles" happening...)
