Not a very pleasant view, is it? |

In spite of pressing extra copies, Lukas LEGALLY licensed them. He admitted they were properly licensed, the studios knew he pressed extra copies. So they are not bootlegs. |

And ALL the studios and the AFM agreed in choir... right... We'll never truly know. Even if he truly licensed them all later, they were bootlegs when they were sold to us. |

[quote="Startracks" I have a whole box of score CDs that are not what I thought they would be (over $1000). Most of them I had never heard before, but they were recommended to me or they were highly limited, so I had the "buy now or you lose out" purchasing method! I have let my son go through them and there they sit in the box, he does not even like them. Give them to a library, you say? I have tried that only to find that they are put on the next library book sale!![/quote] Why not sell them? You could probably get your money back (or more, if you so desire) on many of them. |

Wow--you mark off names on your CDs, Startracks? Um, that is a bit "nuts." Why bother trashing the product? |

Did I not pay for them? Are they not mine to do with what I want? What is the difference between what I do and those who are not happy with the inserts and make their own? Or those who take the CD out of the jewel case, discard the jewel case and put the CD in a sleeve? Are inserts not defaced when the composer signs them? What I mark out, no one can tell, so in 30 years when I am no longer here and my son takes over my collection, he won't know any better or he will laugh? The CDs will probably have rotted by then anyway and it will all be stored digitally! |

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh...sorry was someone saying something? I was going to lock this thread but fell asleep from boredom before I could. Hey, here's an idea...why don't we start some film music discussion topics and be productive. |
