Wow, this thread now seems like a trip to grandma's house compared to FSM right now. People over there are talking about how Robin can sue Lukas? That's just nuts. Who would want to see this happen? What a sad time in this small community. |

Just a hypothesis -- no facts to back this up, but: Maybe Lukas was making real head-way, quietly behind the scenes, with the pissy studio, and things were looking bright -- heck, maybe even spent some cash in the thing -- and then, suddenly, wham -- Robin cranks it out. But I have to say, with slumping sales, titles hanging around for a decade, and according to him the Jones box not selling well -- compounded to that the download of it (recall that thread?) -- maybe it's just not been Lukas is year. Or two. OR three. Just a thought: if you got the cash, have been putting it off, go buy some FSM stuff. |

Yeah, me, too. Him and his label have been an important part of film score history. We don't need to look back 50 years from now to know that. |

Do you think one of the problems is that we are flooded with releases? In my case it is! Over 10 releases a month from all the labels, throw in a few box sets here and there, who can afford them all! We have to pick and choose! But, I do support Intrada and La-la-Land the most because they are releasing the type of scores that I like. They also announce one day and send out the next, so we have the CDs in a few days! I have stopped supporting FSM as much ever since Lukas confessed to the over-pressings and SAE was selling PREDATOR at inflated prices after the fast sellout! The other labels are hit and miss for me, because I usually have the original release or the score/composer does not appeal to me. Only time will tell if Perseverance will be added to my list, but I am hoping they get cleared! |
