I'm impressed that the Haunting has received 29 votes (including mine) - that's 62% of the top vote getter, not bad at all. That's the one I would be most excited about if it came to happen, though I'd support most of these. |

I think Rozsa and THE JUNGLE BOOK would sell the best. Two very colorful Friedhofer scores are HONDO and VERA CRUZ. |

Between these titles, THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH without a doubt, but I'd like to see in the future Herrmann's "Journey to the Center of The Earth" and On "Dangerous Ground". |

Thanks for the heads up -- still, 4.5 minutes isn't exactly a substantial portion of the score, so for me The Haunting is still in the A Double Life category of "barely represented; should be done" even if not quite in the "completely unrepresented" category of Joan of Arc, Black Patch, and Face of a Fugitive. Pairing something as a strech goal is a good idea... or maybe if the main score is a bit longer, some bonus suites could be added from long lost scores by the same composer... eg I am not sure how long is Joan of Arc, but it would be interesting to have some additional Friedhofer suites compiled and added to the album as a little bonus - either from mentioned other Friedhofer's entirely lost scores or just works that have been released but still could benefit from the modern day recording quality. Or just other way round... re-recording THE BRIDE WORE BLACK (or ON DANGEROUS GROUND) in its entirety and have MAN WHO KNEW TOO LITTLE as a stretch goal - since it is probably a very short score and those two might fit fogether on a single CD (?). BUT since kickstarter campaigns will hardly ever cover entire costs of recording anything any money raised over the limit will just reduce the money the label has to pay as their investment to cover the other half of the budget. |

The Columbo-TV scores by Billy Goldenberg, Gil Mellé, Dave Grusin, Dick DeBenedictis and others. Also another Hitchcock could be Frenzy by Ron Goodwin together with the rejected Score by Henry Mancini. |
