Another thing about the film version of Court Dance, it appears that the one of the channels was inverted and shifted slightly to create a false stereo sound. |

I’m guessing they realized that this would only work with the roadshow presentation. For regular screenings, without the overture, they would still need the cue underscoring DeMille’s narration. So they separated the overture and added the tag. Of course, this is just idle speculation on my part. |
