I've been enjoying the FSM release of the Goldsmith/Stevens scores for Cain's Hundred. Goldsmith's score for the episode "Rules of Evidence" is something special. Love all the different moods it radiates. |

Listening again to Henry Mancini's Touch Of Evil before heading off to work. Some of the stuff they play over the music system at that place can really wear on a persons nerve. To hear Luv Sik by Mozilla just once is tramatic, to hear it again and again is brain damaging. Need to keep some choice Mancini fresh in my brain in order to offset the experience. |

Music From The Serials (James King and the CinemaSound Orchestra) ![]() Amazing, beautiful, powerful and classic music from a number of different Republic serials from the late 30's early 40's. The Fighting Devil Dogs, Captain Marvel, Mysterious Dr. Satan, Dick Tracy's G-Men... Composers William Lava, Paul Sawtell, Alberto Colombo and others represented. An amazing recording!!! Thank you James King for bringing this very obscure film music to light! Reissued by Varese Sarabande as "Cliffhangers!" with a different track sequencing, this is a 1991 disc on CinemaSound label, the audio is excellent, deep and rich with great stereo seperation. |
