While Quincy Jones' "cover version" has been incarnated on CD, the original Paramount album program is still awaiting its debut. While the central character in this movie is unable to feel emotion, there is no real attempt on the part of the score to fill this void. It's really lively and colourful music all the way, ideal for such a sprawling undertaking. Hopefully Universal Music still has a good condition master for this. Most of the score is here as originally presented on LP (including a cue by the orchestrator, Eumir Deodato). However I wouldn't mind having a slightly expanded edition which includes the music for the fashion show (composed by Gianni Ferrio).
