C'mon Intrada - you can't keep this one from us forever! :P

Seriously though, it's a beautifully done film, and the score is even more beautiful. Lush and grand, in a subtle, yet epic style as only Rosenman could do with his own mind. Imaginative, emotional, and tender - and as the film's trailer points out, gentle, but bold. A score everyone should hear.

Hops off soapbox.

It's certainly a beautiful, sensitively realized, especially important in demonstrating that the composer had a greater range than the horror/science fiction vehicles he was offered in the latter part of his career. The only problem is that it's rather on the short side (at least as the score appeared in the film). I'm not entirely sure that another 20th Century-Fox score by the composer (i.e. RACE WITH THE DEVIL) would make a smooth coupling on one CD. Still there must be plenty of other short scores which would complement MAKING LOVE. (Just to clarify: I deeply appreciate the scores which the Maestro did in the latter part of his career, it's just unfortunate he tended to be typecast for these projects.)
