So during the 80's I fell in love with a film called Gotcha!! score was composed and conducted by the often brilliant Bill Conti. Now MCA released a vinyl version which I remember buying which contained two re-recorded cues. Do we know wether or not this score still exists and if so is something that Intrada would be considering? Also another Bill Conti score from the early 90's is the Fourth War..Big orchestral thriller score for Roy Scheider Cold War thriller which contained a cracking couple of Action cues and chase cues.. Please Intrada can you release?... Both of which are two of my Holy Grails... P.S. Some of his TV stuff would be good too... Dynasty Pilot, Emarald NAS (With Orchestrator Pete Myers), The Master and The Colbys....OOOHHH and didn't he do Falcon Crest Pilot or was it just the theme? Currently Spinning on the Wheel Of Sounds ...... "The Final Act" - John Barry The Golden Child... Really having trouble getting this album out of my head!! |

There's a thread for Gotcha! which indicates that a release from Intrada seems likely sooner or later. Of course, we don't know how the process has been going lately. I'll take just about any new release of Conti's work, with Spy Hard, Gotcha! and all of his complete Rocky scores being big priorities. |

I've not heard the first two, so I chose his TV work. It's passed due for his score to the three-part pilot "Oil" fron "Dynasty". He scored the next episode ("The Honeymoon"), and that was it. He scored the second pilot to "Falcon Crest": http://tvscoring.150m.com/FalconCrest.html Somebody told me a story about the first pilot and Rosenman once; I don't remember the details so much now. It was basically something like he was having trouble with the producers, didn't give a crap anymore and when he was done he didn't stick around to make any changes, just left the stage and got into his fancy car and split. |
