This is a beatiful music to a movie I don´t like, but the score is really great. Ifukube uses his themes from previous movies, especially the Godzilla Theme and also the Military March (in the track "Get King Ghidorah") and adds some new ones. The CD is long out of print, the 2 CD has less music then the 1 CD (2nd CD are dialogues). The prices are over 70 USD. The music also is in the expensive 4th box of Godzilla music. Is there any possibillity of the re-release of this CD? I think Toho Co. Ltd. has the rights. |

Yes, the "elegy" is a great piece of music. It is a very moving moment in the movie, too. When the man, I think it was Mr. Shindo, looks in the eyes of Godzilla. I always had the feeling he says: "Kill me, I know you have to, so please, do it." |
