http://www.rejectedfilmscores.150m.com/ ... ml#rainbow[/quote] This website has alot of errors and misspellings and score years are off. Mobsters came out in 1991, not 1990 for example. Otherwise, it's an interesting site. ![]() |

This CD was not recalled. They simply pressed very few copies. I remember this score being cited specifically in an interview with Null and/or Kraft as an example of how few soundtrack buyers there really are. Pressing a very small number of CDs – remember that this was a film and composer of very specific appeal – was not uncommon for Varese at the time. And remember, they also were pressing LPs in 1988, so this was also issued on vinyl. I think its rarity contributes mightily to its appeal, so I wouldn't think a reissue would be a sure-thing for a label. That said, nothing seems too obscure these days, so for people who want this, there's always hope. I have dozens of Varese CDs with misprinted tracklistings. Off the top of my head, the first CD pressing of "RoboCop," "Bat 21," and "Pee-wee's Big Adventure/Back To School" all have inconsistencies between the printed listings and what's actually on the CD. None of those were recalled. Neither was "The Serpent and the Rainbow." |

I would rather see a release of Fiedel's music to, Fright Night Fright Night Part II True Believer Gladiator "92" and an expanded LP to CD release of my personal favourite LET'S GET HARRY. I think Serpent And The Rainbow is one of Brad's weaker scores. It works well in the movie but not on a CD by itself. Never been to happy about horror scores. But thats just my taste. ![]() |
